These “high-fat” mice were getting 60% of their energy from fat, and the mice on this diet consumed about 30% more calories than the mice on standard diet. However, if mice that were fed the “high-fat” diet were ALSO given 22mg/kg resveratrol, they had a 30% lower risk of death than the mice that were fed the “high-fat” diet alone!
